The Phase 1 Assignment – Multimodal Personal Interest Paper – introduced exterior texts to express the differences between understandings of English in different groups of people across different backgrounds. I chose to cover working class politics in my paper, as it has always been a topic I’ve found fundamental to the way I see myself. Building off of anecdotes, multi-media elements, and a vaguely argumentative thesis statement, I aimed to represent an emotional side to language as seen through class consciousness.
