Phase 3 – The Researched Essay – was certainly the most extensive piece of writing I did this semester. I aimed to craft a polished, objective argument, with as effective and candid rhetoric as I could possibly muster. During the unit, we examined many of the constituting principles of a strong researched essay, with a guided, forthright thesis, and a well organized structure. I chose the topic of AI, specifically in how it relates to usurping the careers of working artists. Through the use of deeply pertinent scholarly articles, I’m confident in the integrity of the argument I made, and believe I was able to weave much of my own emotional weight into the language of the piece. My goal was delivering an energetic, ferocious composition.
